For me, I am on the low end in terms of budget, and I mean low. I pay NT$400 a night at Happy Family Hostel which is just a 5 minute walk from the Taipei Train Station. Not the best in town, but for the price, no complaints. What I like best is that there is a common area where guest can mingle. You want to exchange notes when you are travelin and get to know people. One of the more affordable <a href="http://www.taipeiroom.com" rel="nofollow">Taipei rooms</a> in the heart of the city.
