Great information. For me, I am on the low end in terms of budget, and I mean low. I pay NT$400 a night at Happy Family Hostel which is just a 5 minute walk from the Taipei Train Station. Not the best in town, but for the price, no complaints. What I like best is that there is a common area where guest can mingle. You want to exchange notes when you are travelin and get to know people. One of the more affordable Taipei rooms in the heart of the city.
